I'm back with another before and after of a recent project! It's always so fun to share how a design 'came to be'.
My client lives in a ranch style home, and the 'living room' was basically an unused space where they stored extra furniture. They hired Price Style and Design to create a space that they would use, and that would make them happy. After talking through their needs, we decided to create a dining room out of their living room space - since they already had a large family room that served as their social gathering area. They needed a dining space that was both casual and inviting for guests as well.
Here's what the space looked like before:
And here it is after:
The owner wanted a 'coastal' feel - so I focused on a combination of blues with pops of color in the art above the fireplace.
I love the artful details of the dining table legs. The rug is from Serena & Lily.
Matching mirrors and chests flank the fireplace.
We changed out the sconces, painted the brick and added a new fireplace screen which updated the look without breaking the bank.
A simply styled centerpiece can remain on your table indefinitely......just add fresh flowers!
Vintage looking jars, glass bottles and vases add visual interest and color on the sideboard.
A pretty console table and oversized art balance out the other side of the room.
We also repainted the entire room using Edgecomb Gray from Benjamin Moore. One of my all time favorite colors! We added a chandelier too. Now the space feels so fresh!
I love helping my clients renew and refresh their living spaces. And I'd love to help you too! If you need interior design services, please contact me! I also do E-Design if you are outside the San Francisco Bay Area.
