Hey you guys!  Thanks for stopping in!  You know my mantra...'start with the art' (if you can!) when designing your space.  If you have a piece of art that you love, trust me, the design of the space will come together!  I'm hoping to do at least one blog post a month featuring a beautiful piece of art and some complementary furniture and decor pieces to inspire you.  So, here we go!

Artist:  Ben Junta

Artist:  Ben Junta

This piece is by Ben Junta , titled "West Coast Summer".  I love the abstract and vivid interpretation of the land and the sea.  The piece is from Serena & Lily and is 12"x12" -- the perfect size to layer into a bookcase or hang in a powder room.

Chandelier

Chandelier

Isn't this chandelier gorgeous?  The aqua color is so soothing!  This would look great in an entry or a bedroom!  For more info, click here.

Pillow

Pillow

Etsy is a great resource for designer pillows.  This pretty pillow from Spark Modern features a sweet fabric from Lisa Fine Textiles.  This would great as an accent pillow in a family room filled with color punches of navy, or it would be lovely as toss pillows on a bed!

Chair

Chair

Seriously, this is one of the most comfortable chairs that I've ever sat in!  It's from Serena & Lily and can be customized in a variety of fabrics.  Great for both a casual space or a more formal living area. Check out the customization options here.

Coffee table styling is so easy when you use a colorful book, a decorative tray and some items with height like these emerald boxes.  And....add in some fresh flowers and you're styling is done!

Interior Design: Before & After Bathroom Remodel

My clients have two young daughters and needed this bathroom to more efficient with storage and space. They wanted a timeless design in their 100 year old home that would transition with the girls as they grow from playing in the bathtub as toddlers, to maximizing space needed for makeup, hairdryers, etc as they become teenagers.

Interior Design: A Pretty Place for Reading

In this project, in Orinda, Ca., I was tasked with coming up with a design solution for a landing space at the top of a stairwell. It was a space that was too small for a loveseat and chairs, and too big and open to use as a home office.
